Lead-acid or lithium?

One shift a day — lead-acid
Cheaper to buy, and a single overnight charge covers a normal working day. You need a ventilated charging area and someone to top up the cells.

Two or more shifts — lithium (LFP)
LFP takes opportunity charging, so the machine plugs in over a break and keeps going. That removes the spare battery, the swap gear and the battery room.

Cold storage — lithium
Lead-acid loses capacity badly in a cool room. LFP holds voltage far better at low temperature.

Food, pharma and clean sites — lithium
No acid, no gassing, no dedicated battery room to build or ventilate.
